We’re Here to Help!

At Willow Springs, we understand the complexities of people’s lives. We do our best to help as many people as possible, but there is no substitute for the Divine power of God’s word. Below you will find some topics discussed throughout the Bible that will heal, help, and encourage you.

Salvation

A result of God’s grace through Jesus Christ, who frees us from our past sins. Salvation gives us eternal life, God’s Spirit, and a close personal relationship with God, our Father.

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Rom. 5:8, “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Rom. 10:9, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth, one confesses and is saved.”

Faith

Faith is the foundation of a believer’s life. Christians are to live by faith, which involves: trusting God’s word, having no doubt in the provisions of God, and believing without seeing.

Heb. 11:1, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

2 Cor. 5:7, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Prov. 3:5, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”

Holy Spirit

The third but equal part of the trinity of God. The Spirit is given to believers to: reveal the nature of God, help the church continue in the ministry of Jesus, and to guide believers into the truth of God’s word.

John 14:26, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

John 16:13, “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.”

Rom. 8:26,  “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.”

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is the wiping out of an offense from memory. Once eradicated, the offense no longer conditions the offender’s relationship and the one offended, and harmony is restored between the two.

1 John 1:8, “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Col.3:13, “Forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.”

Eph. 4:32,  “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

Prayer

There are many different types of prayer: specific requests, praying for others, thanksgiving and worship, and simply having a conversation with God.

John 14:13, “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.”

Ps.145:18, “The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”

James 5:16, “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”

The Word of God

The writers of the Bible declares the word to be true and binding. This word is infallible, because written under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and therefore free from all error. In other words, the Bible is the recorded voice of God.

2 Tim. 3:16, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

Ps. 119:130,  “The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.”

1 Peter 1:22,  “Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, 23 since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.”
